Fixing VUETRADE connectors
VUETRADE specifies its own connector plate nails or screws for its hangers and plates, through the pre-bored holes: 30 x 2.8mm nails for joist hangers and bearer plates, 12G x 35mm screws where the connector's technical data allows them, 33 x 3.15mm nails for I-beam hangers, and 316 stainless nails for stainless connectors. Use galvanised nails on galvanised connectors and stainless on stainless: VUETRADE warns that mixing them causes bimetallic corrosion, which reduces capacity.
