About the Joist Hangers (Nail-Spike)
VUETRADE Joist Hangers are fast-fixing hangers for joists to beams, trusses to beams and roof trusses to girders. A built-in nail spike holds the hanger in position while you nail. Galvanised in timber widths 35 to 58mm and depths 90 to 220mm, 316 stainless in 35, 45 and 50mm widths, and BLACKOUT in 45 x 90 and 45 x 140mm. Australian made.

Features
- Nail spike holds the hanger in position while you fix it
- Fix ONLY with VUETRADE 30 x 2.8mm galvanised connector plate nails or VUETRADE Type 17 12G x 35mm screws through the pre-bored holes; 316 hangers take VUETRADE 316 connector plate nails only (galvanised nails on stainless cause bimetallic corrosion and lower the capacity)
- Design capacities per hanger depth, load type and joint group are in VUETRADE's technical data (designed and tested to AS 1649; 1.0mm G300 Z275 galvanised or 316 stainless); they assume the listed number of VUETRADE nails or screws in each member
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised for enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash; on marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf), in fresh-water contact or frequent wetting and drying, or around pools, use the 316 stainless version
- BLACKOUT is black powder coat over the same G300 Z275 galvanised steel (VUETRADE): it has the same exposure limits as galvanised, so it is not for marine, wet or poolside sites
