About the I-Beam Hangers
VUETRADE I-Beam Hangers connect I-beams and large joists to framing, and suit a wide range of I-beam and rough sawn timber sizes. 17 galvanised sizes, 40 to 90mm wide and 200 to 400mm deep. Australian made.

Features
- 17 sizes: widths 40 to 90mm, depths 200 to 400mm
- Minimum fixings into the supporting beam (VUETRADE): 200mm deep 6 screws or 12 nails; 240mm 6 or 16; 300mm 8 or 18; 360 and 400mm 10 or 20; plus 1 x 6G x 30mm galvanised bugle head screw up through the bottom hole into the I-beam
- Use VUETRADE Type 17 12G x 35mm screws or VUETRADE 33 x 3.15mm galvanised connector plate nails through the pre-bored holes; fasteners no closer than 30mm (screws) or 17mm (nails) to the timber edge
- Hanger at least 60% of the I-beam height and covering at least 10mm of the top flange, otherwise fit a web stiffener (VUETRADE)
- 1.2mm G300 Z275 galvanised steel; design capacities in VUETRADE's technical data (designed and tested to AS 1649)
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations
