About the VUEFIX Stud-Smart Screws
VUEFIX Stud-Smart Screws fix wall top plates to timber studs: 140mm for single top plates and 185mm for double top plates. VUETRADE rates them as an alternative to stud ties for top plate to stud tie-down in AS 1684 wall bracing (tested MGP10, JD4); they are not for truss tie-down. Heads in purple (140mm) and orange (185mm), T40 drive, bronze nano KTCO coating. Matching site install tags let inspectors confirm which screw went in.
