About the T-Blade Post Supports with Leg
VUETRADE T-Blade Post Supports with Legs carry a concealed T-Blade on a fixed leg, for bolting onto or casting into concrete. 10mm blade and base with concealed welds. 600mm x 35mm legs on the 90 to 100 and 115 to 140mm post sizes, solid 35mm legs 300 or 600mm long on the 150 to 180mm size, and a 600mm x 73mm leg on the 180 to 250mm size. Galvanised, with 304 stainless versions.

Features

- Fixed legs: 35mm, solid 35mm (300 or 600mm) or 73mm
- Suits posts 90 to 100, 115 to 140, 150 to 180 and 180 to 250mm (VUETRADE)
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 4 x M12 (90 to 100mm size) or M16 bolts or VUEBOLTs through the blade, 4 x matching concrete bolts in the base, or cast in; 2 bolts only with a structural engineer's check (diagonal holes)
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity with 4 bolts: M12 J3 47.4, J4 37.7, J5 32.6, JD3 57.0, JD4 47.4, JD5 41.4 kN; M16 57.0 kN in every joint group (capped at 57 kN); Category 1 joints (x 0.941 for Category 2, x 0.882 for Category 3)
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities from its own tests, and assume enough concrete anchorage; embedment depth is set by your structural engineer
- Leave at least 75mm clearance under the post for termite inspection: VUETRADE says it must be provided (AS 3660.1)
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised for enclosed work and for inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water and frequent wetting and drying; 304 stainless for marine sites (100m to 1km from a sheltered coast, 1 to 10km from surf) and for fresh-water contact or frequent wetting and drying; within 100m of a sheltered coast or 1km of breaking surf VUETRADE specifies 316, by special order. Around pools VUETRADE recommends stainless brackets for saltwater pools, and for freshwater pools where the brackets are splashed often

- Decks, pergolas and roofed structures: to VUETRADE's technical data (uplift, and dead load where listed, with its fixing conditions) or your engineer's design. VUETRADE: post supports give no lateral stability, so brace the posts to a structural engineer's design; footing embedment and concrete anchor bolts are set by your engineer
