Choosing a VUETRADE post support
Full Stirrup Post Supports suit most posts from 90 to 150mm, bolted onto or set into concrete. Cyclonic Post Supports are 6mm U stirrups cast into concrete for high wind areas. T-Blade Post Supports with Leg and with Adjustable Leg hide the blade inside the post. Pin Shaft Post Supports suit low-load feature posts only.
Capacities for each post support are in the VUETRADE technical data, with their conditions (uplift, and dead load where listed). VUETRADE warns that post supports give no lateral stability: brace the posts to a structural engineer's design, and your engineer sets the footing embedment and concrete anchor bolts. Build decks, pergolas and roofed structures to that data or your engineer's design.
