About the Pin Shaft Post Supports
VUETRADE Pin Shaft Post Supports hold timber posts where the support has to be fully concealed: the 32mm solid shaft sits in a 32mm hole bored at least 55mm into the post end. 4.0mm saddle fixed with 2 x M10 x 75mm coach screws, 2 x M12 concrete bolts in the base, in 125, 200 and 300mm. VUETRADE suits them to lower load ratings and low wind uplift: centre pin anchors may not achieve the ratings some applications need, so check with your engineer.

- Fully concealed support: bore a 32mm hole at least 55mm deep in the post end
- 32mm solid shaft, 4.0mm saddle
- Rated fixing (VUETRADE): 2 x M10 x 75mm coach screws into the post; 2 x M12 concrete bolts in the base, or cast in
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity: J3 5.1, J4 3.5, J5 2.6, JD3 6.4, JD4 4.4, JD5 3.3 kN, with that fixing and a post at least 90 x 90mm; Category 1 joints
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities from its own tests, and assume enough concrete anchorage; embedment depth is set by your structural engineer
- Leg 125, 200 or 300mm
- Lower uplift capacity than stirrup or T-Blade supports
- No suitable VUEBOLT (VUETRADE)
- Leave at least 75mm clearance under the post for termite inspection: VUETRADE says it must be provided (AS 3660.1)
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations

- Low-load feature posts
- Decks, pergolas or roofed structures only with your engineer's check: VUETRADE suits it to lower loads, and post supports give no lateral stability, so brace posts to a structural engineer's design; footing embedment is set by your engineer
