About the Adjustable Post Supports
VUETRADE Adjustable Post Supports fix uncommon or large timber posts, bolted onto concrete. Each support is two halves, so it has no set post size range (VUETRADE gives 75 to 300mm as a guide only); each half takes 1 x M10 bolt into the post (or 2 x M10 coach screws on larger posts) and M10 anchor bolts into the concrete. 4.0mm steel, galvanised. 75mm and 160mm heights, cartons of 10 pairs.
Features
- Two-part support adjusts to the post: posts 75 to 300mm as a guide only (VUETRADE: consult a structural engineer)
- 4.0mm steel
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 1 x M10 bolt with nut per half into the post, or 2 x M10 coach screws on larger posts; M10 anchor bolts to the concrete; galvanised bolts only
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity: 16 kN (JD4) with 2 x M10 bolts tightly fastened (one per half) and a post at least 75 x 75mm
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities from its own tests, and assume enough concrete anchorage; embedment depth is set by your structural engineer
- Height = how far the post sits clear of the ground: 75 or 160mm
- No suitable VUEBOLT (VUETRADE)
- Cartons of 10 pairs
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations
Applications
- Large or uncommon post sizes bolted to concrete
- Decks, pergolas and roofed structures: to VUETRADE's technical data (uplift, and dead load where listed, with its fixing conditions) or your engineer's design. VUETRADE: post supports give no lateral stability, so brace the posts to a structural engineer's design; footing embedment and concrete anchor bolts are set by your engineer
