VUETRADE L Stirrup Post Supports are cast into or bolted to concrete to carry timber joists and stair stringers. 6.0mm steel, shaft lengths 75 to 450mm, 85 or 140mm blade, fixed with 2 x M12 bolts, concealed welds. Galvanised.
Features
- 6.0mm steel, blade height 85 or 140mm
- Shaft lengths 75, 125, 300 and 450mm
- Rated fixing (VUETRADE): 2 x M12 bolts with hex nuts and AS 1720.1 Table 4.11 washers on the timber side; 2 x M12 concrete bolts in the base, or cast in
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity: J3 3.9, J4 2.5, J5 1.7, JD3 5.6, JD4 4.1, JD5 3.0 kN, with that fixing
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities from its own tests, and assume enough concrete anchorage; embedment depth is set by your structural engineer
- Concealed welds
- Leave at least 75mm clearance under the post for termite inspection: VUETRADE says it must be provided (AS 3660.1)
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations

- Uplift only: VUETRADE says post supports give no lateral stability, so brace to a structural engineer's design; footing embedment and concrete anchor bolts are set by your engineer
