VUETRADE T-Blade Post Supports with Adjustable Legs carry a concealed T-Blade on an inner threaded leg for setting the height, bolted onto or cast into concrete. 10mm blade and base with concealed welds, four sizes for posts from 90 to 250mm, leg ranges 220 to 350mm (smallest) up to 340 to 575mm (largest). Galvanised.
Features
- Inner threaded leg for height adjustment: 220 to 350, 250 to 405, 280 to 460 and 340 to 575mm by size (VUETRADE technical data)
- 10mm blade and base, concealed welds
- Suits posts 90 to 100, 115 to 140, 150 to 180 and 180 to 250mm (VUETRADE)
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 4 x M12 (90 to 100mm size) or M16 bolts or VUEBOLTs through the blade, 4 x M16 concrete bolts in the base; 2 bolts only with a structural engineer's check (diagonal holes)
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity with 4 bolts: M12 JD3 57.0, JD4 47.4, JD5 41.4 kN; M16 57.0 kN (capped at 57 kN); Category 1 joints. Dead plus live load on the threaded leg must never exceed 37 kN (VUETRADE)
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities from its own tests, and assume enough concrete anchorage; embedment depth is set by your structural engineer
- Lock the leg at height with the hex nut
- Leave at least 75mm clearance under the post for termite inspection: VUETRADE says it must be provided (AS 3660.1)
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations

- Concealed post fixing where the height needs setting on site
- Decks, pergolas and roofed structures: to VUETRADE's technical data (uplift, and dead load where listed, with its fixing conditions) or your engineer's design. VUETRADE: post supports give no lateral stability, so brace the posts to a structural engineer's design; footing embedment and concrete anchor bolts are set by your engineer
