About the T-Blade Post Supports (Bolt Down)
VUETRADE T-Blade post supports fix large decorative timber posts to concrete with the blade hidden in a slot in the post. 10mm blade and base (12mm on the 240mm base), concealed welds, and five base sizes for posts from 90 to 350mm square. 4 bolts through the blade (M12, M16 or M20 by size) and 4 concrete bolts in the base. Galvanised, 304 stainless or BLACKOUT black powder coat. Concealing caps are sold separately.

Features
- Blade sits inside a slot in the post for a clean finish: cut a 10mm slot (12mm for the 250 to 350mm size)
- 10mm blade and base (12mm on the 240mm base), concealed welds between the plates
- Suits posts 90 to 100, 115 to 140, 150 to 180, 180 to 250 and 250 to 350mm square (VUETRADE size chart)
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 4 bolts or VUEBOLTs through the blade, M12 (90 to 100mm), M16 (115 to 250mm) or M20 (250 to 350mm), and 4 matching concrete bolts in the base; 2 bolts only with a structural engineer's check (diagonal holes)
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity with 4 bolts: M12 J3 47.4, J4 37.7, J5 32.6, JD3 57.0, JD4 47.4, JD5 41.4 kN; M16 and M20 57.0 kN in every joint group (capped at 57 kN); Category 1 joints (x 0.941 for Category 2, x 0.882 for Category 3); may be limited by the concrete bolts
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities; footings by others
- Galvanised, 304 stainless (316 by special order from VUETRADE) or BLACKOUT
- BLACKOUT is black powder coat over hot dip galvanised steel: same exposure limits as galvanised (VUETRADE)
- Concealing caps sold separately: bolt the T-Blade down, slide the cap over the blade, then fit the post; the cap cannot be fitted once the post is on (VUETRADE)
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised for enclosed work and for inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water and frequent wetting and drying; 304 stainless for marine sites (100m to 1km from a sheltered coast, 1 to 10km from surf) and for fresh-water contact or frequent wetting and drying; within 100m of a sheltered coast or 1km of breaking surf VUETRADE specifies 316, by special order. Around pools VUETRADE recommends stainless brackets for saltwater pools, and for freshwater pools where the brackets are splashed often
