About the Double T-Blade Post Supports
VUETRADE Double T-Blade Post Supports raise a T-Blade on a second blade instead of a leg, for bolting onto or casting into concrete. 10mm blade and base, 195mm blade, M16 bolts in blade and base, concealed welds. Two sizes: 140 x 140mm base with a 100mm leg for posts 140 to 180mm, and 180 x 180mm base with a 140mm leg for posts 180 to 200mm (VUETRADE technical data). Galvanised.

- T-Blade raised on a second blade rather than a leg
- 10mm blade and base, 195mm blade height, concealed welds; cut a 10mm slot in the post
- 140 x 140mm base, 100mm leg: posts 140 to 180mm; 180 x 180mm base, 140mm leg: posts 180 to 200mm
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 4 x M16 bolts or VUEBOLTs through the blade, 4 x M16 concrete bolts in the base, or cast in
- VUETRADE uplift design capacity: 4 bolts JD3 57.0, JD4 57.0, JD5 54.3 kN; 2 bolts JD3 38.8, JD4 31.4, JD5 27.2 kN; posts at least 140 x 140mm sitting flat on the base
- Capacities are VUETRADE's wind uplift (vertical) design capacities from its own tests, and assume enough concrete anchorage; embedment depth is set by your structural engineer
- Leave at least 75mm clearance under the post for termite inspection: VUETRADE says it must be provided (AS 3660.1)
- Galvanised
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations
Applications
- Raised, concealed fixing of large timber posts
- Decks, pergolas and roofed structures: to VUETRADE's technical data (uplift, and dead load where listed, with its fixing conditions) or your engineer's design. VUETRADE: post supports give no lateral stability, so brace the posts to a structural engineer's design; footing embedment and concrete anchor bolts are set by your engineer
