About the Z Type HDG Brackets
The VUETRADE Z Type HDG Bracket is a Z-angled bracket for tie-down of timber trusses to top plates and similar timber-to-timber joins. It is bolted, not nailed: one M12 bolt through the side and an M12 or M16 bolt or tie-down rod top or bottom. 50 x 105 x 50mm in 5.0mm hot dip galvanised G300 steel.

Features
- Z-angled bracket, 50 x 105 x 50mm
- 5.0mm G300 steel, hot dip galvanised
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 1 x M12 bolt through the side into the rafter or chord, and 1 x M12 or M16 bolt or tie-down rod top or bottom; washers to AS 1720.1 Table 4.11 on the timber side
- Wind uplift design capacity (VUETRADE, Category 1 joints, fixed as above): JD3 8.9, JD4 6.5, JD5 4.7 kN; wind uplift only
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations
