About the Heavy Duty Fascia Brackets
VUETRADE Heavy Duty Fascia Brackets attach a fascia to the rafters (or truss overhangs). 6.0mm G300 steel, hot dip galvanised to HDG600, in six angles from 5 to 35 degrees with a 150mm neck, and a 220mm long neck in three angles. Each bracket takes 4 x M10 bolts into the rafter and 2 x M10 bolts into the fascia; VUETRADE publishes design capacities for that fixing.

- Angles 5, 12, 17, 22.5, 28 and 35 degrees
- 150mm neck; 220mm long neck on 17, 22.5 and 28 degrees
- Fixing (VUETRADE): 4 x M10 bolts into the rafter and 2 x M10 bolts into a fascia of at least 90 x 35mm, in 12mm holes, with 2.5mm thick washers (45mm round or 40 x 40mm square) on the timber side; bolt end distance 70mm and edge distance 20mm (AS 1720.1)
- Design capacity (VUETRADE, long-term dead load 1.35G, 4 bolts into the rafter): 35mm thick rafter JD3 5.8, JD4 4.2, JD5 3.1 kN; 45mm thick rafter JD3 7.4, JD4 5.4, JD5 3.9 kN. The angle does not change the capacity
- The rafter or truss overhang must be designed by a structural engineer for the added verandah or pergola load (VUETRADE)
- Designed and tested to AS 1649; VUETRADE states compliance with AS 1684 and AS 1720
- Exposure (VUETRADE area chart): galvanised suits enclosed work and inland exterior work kept clear of fresh water, frequent wetting and drying and pool splash. This product is galvanised only, so it does not suit marine sites (within 1km of a sheltered coast or 10km of surf) or those wet locations
