About the MDG GC-Hard Grinding Disc
The Mungo MDG GC-Hard is a diamond grinding disc for an angle grinder that grinds concrete and hard materials away rather than cutting through, for taking down high spots, lips between slabs and rough edges, and cleaning up concrete surfaces. It is 125mm with a 22.2mm bore, with diamond segments 4.5mm wide and 8.3mm high, used dry with no water cooling, and does both rough and fine finishing, one disc to a box. What a concrete grinding disc does
A diamond grinding disc grinds material away instead of cutting through it. The MDG GC-Hard has diamond segments around its face, and Mungo lists it for concrete and hard materials, on an angle grinder. Typical jobs are taking down high spots, lips between slabs and rough edges, and cleaning up concrete surfaces.
Mungo lists four features: diamond segments for fast grinding and a long life, use on a grinding machine, use without water cooling, and one disc for both fine and rough finishing. It is oSa certified and complies with the EN 13236 safety standard.

Diamond grinding disc, diamond blade or metal grinding disc?
- Diamond grinding disc (this page): for grinding concrete and hard materials flat or smooth. It is not a cutting blade.
- Diamond blades (MDC Power M, Laser Beton and others): for cutting concrete, brick and other hard building materials.
- MPG Pro Grind grinding disc: an abrasive disc for metal, used for deburring, weld cleaning, surface cleaning and dressing angles and corners. It is free of iron, sulphur and chlorine, which prevents contamination of stainless steel.

How to use a diamond grinding disc
- Check the grinder takes a 125mm disc on a 22.2mm arbor, and fit the disc following the grinder maker's instructions with the guard in place.
- Check the maximum speed (RPM) marked on the disc is at or above your grinder's no load speed, so the grinder never runs the disc faster than its rating. Mungo's sheet does not give an RPM, so read it off the disc (general safe use advice).
- Wear eye, hearing and dust protection. Grinding concrete dry makes a lot of fine dust.
- It can be used dry: Mungo lists use without water cooling as a feature of the MDG GC-Hard.
- Use the same disc for rough grinding and for the finishing pass; Mungo makes it as one disc for both.
- Check the disc before each use and replace a damaged disc.
