About the Self-Tapping Screw
Self-tapping screws, also known as self-tappers, form a mating thread as they drive, for fastening into sheet metal, castings and plastics without a pre-tapped hole. Choose head (pan or countersunk), drive (Phillips or square/Robertson) and a pilot or undercut point to suit the material and finish.
