Self tapping screws, wood screws and drive screws
Self Tapping Screws form their own thread as they drive into sheet metal, castings and plastics, with pan or countersunk heads, Phillips or square drive, in zinc plated, zinc black and 304, 316 and 410 stainless. They need a pilot hole; to fix straight into steel without drilling first, see our self-drilling screws.
For timber, a Countersunk Wood Screw has a coarse thread and sits flush, in 304 stainless and brass. The U Drive Screw is hammered into a pre-drilled hole to fix nameplates, labels and light panels without a screwdriver.
