About the Brick Veneer Ties (R2, R3, R4)
VUETRADE Brick Veneer Ties tie brick veneer to timber wall frames. Durability class R2 (Z600 galvanised), R3 (304 stainless) or R4 (316 stainless), each light duty with the supplied nails or medium duty with the supplied screws, cartons of 150. VUETRADE rates them for a 50mm cavity on timber frames only, to AS/NZS 2699.1:2020 and AS 3700:2018. The durability class and duty are set by your architect or engineer.
Features
- R2 Z600 galvanised: 10km or more from breaking surf and 1km or more from a sheltered coast, and not in contact with fresh water or frequent non-saline wetting and drying (VUETRADE area chart)
- R3 304 stainless: 1 to 10km from breaking surf, or 100m to 1km from a sheltered coast
- R4 316 stainless: within 1km of breaking surf or 100m of a sheltered coast (VUETRADE technical data)
- VUETRADE does not cover heavy industrial areas: use your engineer's specification there
- Rated for a 50mm cavity on timber frames only, fixed with the supplied VUETRADE fixings only
- Light duty with the supplied 30 x 3.2mm nails, medium duty with the supplied 30 x 4.5mm screws
- AS/NZS 2699.1:2020 and AS 3700:2018 (VUETRADE)
