VUETRADE: R2 galvanised ties 10km or more from breaking surf and 1km or more from a sheltered coast, and not in contact with fresh water or frequent wetting and drying; R3 304 stainless 1 to 10km from breaking surf or 100m to 1km from a sheltered coast; R4 316 stainless within 1km of breaking surf or 100m of a sheltered coast. VUETRADE does not cover heavy industrial areas. Brick veneer ties are rated for a 50mm cavity on timber frames with the supplied fixings. Your architect or engineer sets the class and duty.
