About the Angle Mini Brace
VUETRADE Angle Mini Brace is a punched, rigid angle brace, 18 x 16 x 1.2mm, used in pairs to brace timber wall frames. Pre-punched for quick nailing and rigid, so it needs no tensioning. VUETRADE lists it as compliant with the requirements of AS 1684 and NCC 2022. 3.6, 4.2 and 4.8m lengths in bundles of 300 or 600. Galvanised, made in Australia.
Features
- Rigid punched angle, 18 x 16 x 1.2mm, G300 Z275 galvanised
- Installed as a diagonally opposed pair: bracing capacity 0.8 kN/m to AS 1684.2/.3 Table 8.18(a) (VUETRADE), panels 1.8 to 2.7m long, braces at 30 to 60 degrees; walls over 2.7m high take VUETRADE's height multiplier
- Fixing (VUETRADE): notch the studs up to 20mm, 2 x 30 x 2.8mm connector plate nails into each plate and 1 into each stud; the top plate must be tied down to the studs (stud screw, stud tie or AS 1684 nominal tie-down)
- Tension capacity 7.5 kN (VUETRADE, under test conditions)
- 3.6, 4.2 and 4.8m lengths, bundles of 300 or 600
- Compliant with AS 1684 and NCC 2022 (VUETRADE)
