How to use
- In a mixer, put in the clean water first (about 3.5L per bag, or as the bag directs), then tip in the mortar and mix well. Start with the least water that gives a workable mix.
- In a barrow or bucket, make a well in the mix, add water as the bag directs and mix to an even consistency.
- Only mix what you can use within 1 hour, and do not let it stand. Re-tempering a stiffened batch with more water weakens the mortar, and extra water slows the set.
- Lay with a trowel. Let the joints stiffen until touch dry before raking or finishing them.
Storage & safety
Keeps about 6 months from manufacture, sealed, dry and off the ground. Do not use a bag that has gone hard. Wear dust-proof goggles and PVC or rubber gloves. Each 20kg bag is a two-person lift. Storing and handling bagged cement.
