Set out your walls, their corners, windows and doors, and see them in 3D in your colour. The planner lays every board at 200 mm face cover, staggers the joins on battens, adds the trims and corners, and counts the screws. The list underneath is your quote, product codes and all.

The same planner has its own page too: the MexyTech wall cladding calculator, with boards for common wall lengths.

222 × 25 MexyTech Suprotect engineered composite cladding

Engineered to last

Every MexyTech board is sealed in a tough outer shell of Surlyn, the same material that protects a golf ball. The harsh Australian sun can't bleach it, and rain and grime stay on the surface instead of soaking in. A buffer bevel on every edge takes up the movement in the heat, so the wall stays straight. No painting, no oiling, ever: a wash is all it needs.

The board

Suprotect engineered composite battened profile, 222 mm wide, 200 mm face cover, buffer bevel edge so the panels can move with the heat without warping.

AF-01 edge trim

Aluminium trim in the matching colour for the top, bottom and open side edges. Fix it first, then the boards slide in behind it.

SC-01 external corner

A co-extruded corner in the matching colour that wraps an external corner cleanly, one run per corner.

How the wall goes together

  1. Step 1

    Battens

Fix the AL02 aluminium battens to the wall at 600 mm centres, fixed every 600 to 800 mm, running across the way the boards will go.

  2. Step 2

    Trims and corners

Fix the SC-01 corner trims on the external corners and the AF-01 trims on the open ends first, so the boards have somewhere to land.

  3. Step 3

    Boards

Start at the bottom, interlock each board into the last and screw through the lip at every batten. Internal corners just butt. Nothing shows.

  4. Step 4

    Finish

Land every join on a batten and stagger them row to row, cap the top with AF-01, and the wall needs no paint, ever.

Wall cladding questions

The board is 222 mm wide, but once the boards interlock each one covers 200 mm of wall face. So a 2.4 m high wall takes 12 boards per run, not 11, and a 4 m wide wall laid vertically takes 20 runs. The cladding calculator on this page does the arithmetic for you.

Both work. Up and down, a 2.9 m board covers a standard wall with no joins and reads as a battened screen. Across, the way the MexyTech guide shows it, suits long walls; runs longer than one board are joined on a batten, with the joins staggered row to row. The calculator shows both.

Aluminium AL02 battens at 600 mm centres, fixed to the wall every 600 to 800 mm, running across the boards. The boards are screwed through the interlocking lip at every batten so no fixings show, and every join lands on its own batten. The calculator counts the screws for timber or metal battens.

AF-01 finishes the open ends of a wall, caps the top and trims round windows and doors. SC-01 is the external corner trim in the matching colour, one run per corner for the wall height. Internal corners need no trim: one wall’s boards butt into the other’s. Both come in 2.9 m lengths.

Yes. The battens fix to the existing wall and the cladding fixes to the battens, which also gives the wall a ventilated cavity. Tell us the substrate and we will talk through the batten and fixing before you order.

Yes. The six cladding colours are the same six as the decking, so a deck and the wall behind it, or a screen beside it, can share one finish. Fascia and trims match too.

The board has a buffer bevel edge that absorbs thermal movement so panels do not warp, and the same capped surface as the decking, so it never needs painting or oiling.

Yes. MexyTech cladding is in stock at Allmat in Adelaide, and we deliver it anywhere in Australia, or you can collect it. Add it to a quote with your suburb for a delivered price.
