  • Gauge to thread diameter: 6g 3.5mm, 8g 4.2mm, 10g 4.8mm, 12g 5.5mm, 14g 6.3mm.
  • Coarse thread (up to 16 TPI) for lighter steel and timber; fine thread (over 16 TPI) for steel from 2mm.
  • Minimum timber embedment for full pull out: 25mm for #12, 35mm for #14. In steel, at least three threads through.
  • Points: metal, Series 500 (thick steel), winged (timber to steel), Type 17 and needle.
