- Twelve parts, two grip ranges each in M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 (NRMSZFKOM04105 to NRMSZFKOM12280), mild steel, zinc plated.
- Hole size and grip examples: M8 needs an 11.0mm hole, with grips of 0.5mm to 3.0mm (NRMSZFKOM08180) or 3.5mm to 6.0mm (NRMSZFKOM08210).
- Working pullout load: in 2.0mm G2 steel, 2,000N for M4, 2,400N for M6 and 2,950N for M8; in 5.0mm G300 steel, 5,600N for M8 x 21 and 9,800N for M12 x 28. Working loads include a factor of safety of 2.5 for steel; mean and characteristic loads are also listed. All values are laboratory results.
- Listed uses: fastening body panels and chassis parts in the automotive industry, fastening steel sheets in construction, load bearing fixings where the material is too thin for bolting, and places with no access for a normal nut.
Who it helps: Fabricators and sheet metal workers fixing threads into thin steel.
