  • Matrix panels are 8mm thick, supplied at 1190x1190, 2390x590 and 2990x1190mm, and fix over 3000x70x19mm Hardie Cavity Batten.
  • Panels are installed with a 10mm expressed joint between adjacent panels, both vertically and horizontally.
  • Cavity battens on timber use 65x2.8mm ring shank or 75x2.8mm galvanised nails; steel framing uses 41mm Hardie Drive screws.
  • Timber studs must be a minimum of 70x35mm and steel studs a minimum of 64x35mm, with 0.55 to 1.6mm BMT.
  • Panel fastener spacing ranges from 200mm down to 150mm as wind load increases; off-stud fixing is only allowed up to N3/C1 with noggings at 800mm centres.
  • Maintain a minimum 150mm clearance to earth and 50mm clearance to roofs, decks, paths and driveways.
