Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Part T9PFKET6225016: 6.2mm, 25 TPI, 16mm long, 9.6mm head, Torx T25 drive. C1022 hardened steel, E-Coat Black finish.
- For steel wall frames and roof trusses. Pre-punched holes are required.
- Underhead serrations resist loosening; the thread form reduces friction when driving and resists vibration loosening; the thread runs to the tip for an easy start.
- Working pullout load: 590N in 0.55mm G2 purlin, 670N in 0.8mm G2, 750N in 1.1mm G2 and 1,050N in 1.5mm G550 purlin. Working loads include a factor of safety of 2.5 for steel; mean and characteristic values are also listed, all from laboratory tests.
- Characteristic shear strength 6,040N and characteristic tensile strength 10,070N; torsional strength 10.9Nm; minimum head and shank bend angle 12 degrees.
Who it helps: Steel frame and truss builders, and staff comparing framing screw finishes.
