Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Part T9PMKEP1224018: 12-24 x 18mm flat head, #2 Phillips drive, packed 1,000. Made for prefabricated steel wall frames.
- C1022 hardened steel with an e-coat black finish, which the sheet says reduces friction when driving and adds corrosion protection.
- Serrations under the head resist loosening, and the self-drilling tip needs no pre-punched hole.
- Working pull-out load from the steel it is fixed into, safety factor 2.5 already included: 200N in 0.5mm G2, 500N in 1.1mm G2, 1,200N in 1.5mm G550. Laboratory values; actual loads depend on the base material.
- Drill test: through 1.5mm G550 in no more than 3.5 seconds at 2,200 RPM with 18kg load.
- Install with a cordless screw gun at 2,200 to 3,000 RPM and firm, steady pressure while it drills. Do not over-tighten. Impact drivers are not recommended.
