Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Countersunk head with a square drive, which resists cam out better than a Phillips drive. For sheds, signage, fences and gates, wall cladding and hinges into metal posts.
- C1022 hardened steel, Class 3 finish, SQ #2 drive.
- Lengths 30, 40, 50 and 65mm (T9PM3CQ1024030 to T9PM3CQ1024065).
- Pull-out working load: 250N in 0.7mm G2 plate, 1,200N in 1.5mm G550 and 2,400N in 2.5mm G450. The working loads already include factors of safety and come from laboratory tests.
- Install with a cordless screwdriver set at a maximum of 2,200 to 3,000 RPM and a square #2 bit, with firm, steady pressure. Do not over-tighten, and impact drivers are not recommended.
Who it helps: Builders and fencers fixing timber, signs or hinges to steel.
