Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Self-drilling tip for screwing into aluminium and light gauge steel, used for security applications.
- One size: I41MSBT1016025, 10g x 16 TPI x 25mm, T25 drive, pack of 1,000.
- The post Torx drive gives security for installations in public areas.
- Grade 410 stainless is harder, for more effective drilling and tapping, but has less corrosion resistance than 304 or 316. Not suitable for coastal or marine use.
- Torx (star) drives grip the bit better, so the bit does not slip out of the head (cam out), and make re-installation easier.
Who it helps: Installers fixing signs, fittings or panels in public areas that should not be easily removed.
