- 12 gauge, 24 TPI flanged hex head self drilling screw with an S500 extended drill point. Bi-metal 304 stainless with an R1000 hours protective coating. Made for metal to metal fixing, cladding, thick steel purlins and hot rolled steel, and corrosive conditions.
- Four lengths: 44, 50, 65 and 80mm (thread length 29, 35, 50 and 65mm), parts T4X5XFH1224044 to T4X5XFH1224080. 14mm head diameter, 5.5mm head height, 15mm drill point length, 5/16 inch hex drive.
- Working pullout load (lab tests, factor of safety 2.5 for steel already included): 1,700N in 3.0mm G2 plate, 4,000N in 5.0mm hot rolled steel, 4,600N in 8.0mm hot rolled steel.
- Drill point test: drills 8mm cold rolled steel at 2,200 RPM under a 27kg load, in at most 10 seconds for any one screw and 7 seconds on average.
- Mechanical properties: torsional strength 11.3Nm; characteristic tensile strength 12,300N and characteristic shear strength 7,400N.
- Install with a cordless screwdriver at 2,200 to 3,000 RPM and firm, steady pressure, and do not over tighten. Impact drivers are not recommended. Matching 5/16 inch hex bits: TXDIPNSS31045 (45mm) and TXDIPNSS31065 (65mm).
