Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- An internally threaded barrel nut: one half of a fixing in timber and furniture connections. Used with a countersunk metal thread screw, the same head shows on both sides of the joint.
- Can also replace the nut on TygaBolt anchors to give a countersunk finish.
- 316 stainless steel for better corrosion resistance. Phillips #3 drive on every size.
- Four sizes: M5 (11.5mm head, 6.5mm shank, 23mm long), M6 (14.0mm head, 8.0mm shank, 23mm long), M8 (16.0mm head, 10.0mm shank, 28mm long) and M10 (19.0mm head, 12.0mm shank, 28mm long).
- Thread length inside the nut: M5 14.0mm, M6 16.5mm, M8 and M10 20.0mm.
Who it helps: Carpenters and joiners making flush, matching-head connections in timber and furniture.
