Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Grade 80 eye safety hook, powder coated. It locks when a load is applied, so chains and slings cannot release.
- For lifting with chains and synthetic slings, with Grade 80 lifting components.
- Working load limit (WLL) by size: 6 1.12 tonne, 8 2.00, 10 3.15, 13 5.30, 16 8.00 tonne.
- Breaking load (BL) is four times the WLL in every row, for example 32.00 tonne for size 16.
- Conforms to AS 3776 and every hook is 100% magnaflux crack tested. The latch stops components releasing if the line goes slack; a back lever releases the hook.
- Each one is marked with CE, its WLL, a trace code linked to its test certificate online, and the maker's mark.
- Part numbers ULHK08PSE-06 to ULHK08PSE-16 (Qfind HSE6 to HSE16).
Who it helps: Riggers and anyone making up a Grade 80 chain or sling assembly who needs the part number and WLL for each size.
