Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Grade 80 eye safety hook that locks when a load is applied, so chains and slings cannot release if the line goes slack. A back lever releases the hook. Powder coated.
- Conforms to AS 3776, and every hook is 100% magnaflux crack tested.
- For lifting with chains and synthetic slings, used with Grade 80 lifting components.
- WLL by size: 6mm 1.12 tonne, 8mm 2.00, 10mm 3.15, 13mm 5.30, 16mm 8.00, 20mm 12.50, 22mm 15.00, 26mm 21.20, 32mm 31.50 tonne.
- The breaking load (BL) in the table is four times the WLL in every size, for example 8.00 tonne for the 8mm hook.
- Each hook is marked with CE, its WLL, a trace code linked to its test certificate, and the maker's mark.
Who it helps: Riggers and anyone making up a Grade 80 chain or sling assembly who needs a locking hook's WLL and dimensions.
