Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • Grade 80 clevis safety hook, powder coated. It locks when a load is applied, so the slings cannot release.
  • Clevis fitting connects directly to chain. For lifting with chains and synthetic slings, with Grade 80 lifting components.
  • Working load limit (WLL) by size: 6 1.12 tonne, 8 2.00, 10 3.15, 13 5.30, 16 8.00, 20 12.50 tonne.
  • Breaking load (BL) is four times the WLL in every row, for example 8.00 tonne for size 8.
  • Conforms to AS 3776 and every hook is 100% magnaflux crack tested. A back lever releases the hook.
  • Each one is marked with CE, its WLL, a trace code linked to its test certificate online, and the maker's mark.
  • Part numbers ULHK08PSC-06 to ULHK08PSC-20 (Qfind HSC6 to HSC20).

Who it helps: Riggers and anyone making up a Grade 80 chain or sling assembly who needs the part number and WLL for each size.
