Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • Grade 100 eye safety hook that locks when a load is applied, so chains and slings cannot release if the line goes slack. A back lever releases the hook. Powder coated.
  • Conforms to AS 3776, and every hook is 100% magnaflux crack tested.
  • For lifting with chains and synthetic slings, with Grade 100 lifting components.
  • Working load limit by size: 6mm 1.4 tonne, 8mm 2.5, 10mm 4.0, 13mm 6.7, 16mm 10.0, 20mm 16.0 tonne.
  • The table also lists the breaking load (BL), four times the WLL in every size: for example 10.0 tonne for the 8mm hook.
  • Each one is marked with CE, its WLL, a trace code linked to its test certificate, and the maker's mark.

Who it helps: Riggers making up Grade 100 chain or sling assemblies who need the hook's WLL and dimensions.
