Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • Fire resistant polyurethane foam for filling, insulating and mounting between zones where higher flame resistance is needed: vaults, fire doors, penetrations and electrical installations.
  • Fire tests listed: DIN 4102-1 B1, EN 13501-1 B-s1, d0, EN 13501-2 EI 240 and BS 476 part 20, plus a Certifire certificate. The sheet does not give the tested joint sizes or setup. Low emission (GEV-EMICODE EC-1 PLUS).
  • Yield 33 to 38 litres of free foam per 750ml can. Expands 2 to 3 times after application. Sound insulation 58dB.
  • Tack free in 5 to 10 minutes, can be cut after 25 to 50 minutes, hardens in 1.5 to 5 hours depending on temperature and humidity. Hardened foam handles -40°C to +90°C.
  • Use: shake hard with the valve down, fit the nozzle, wet the surfaces with water and make sure they are clean and free of dust and grease. Surface at least 5°C; best can and air temperature 20 to 25°C. Clean the nozzle straight after with XFOAM PRO Cleaner.
  • Protect the hardened foam from UV once the work is done.
  • Keeps 12 months stored upright at 5 to 25°C.

Who it helps: Builders, plumbers and electricians sealing penetrations and gaps where fire resistance is required.
