Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Glass fibre reinforced and electrically insulated. For single and double plasterboard, with 25mm and 32mm lengths for reduced cavities.
- A thin cutting thread drives easily into drywall; the centre point makes setting and drilling easy, and a back twist lock lets the screw come out without the plug moving.
- Tension load 90N in 12.5mm plasterboard, with a safety factor of 3 included (10N is about 1kg).
- Listed uses: electric switches, conduit, pipe saddles, pictures, lamps and rails, indoors and outdoors.
- Parts: MFJ32 (MUSMFJ321801112, 32mm) and MFJ25 (MUSMFJ251801142, 25mm) for 8 to 10 gauge screws, packs of 100, plus a version supplied with a Pozi 2 pan head screw (MUSMFJ3S18011124).
Who it helps: Electricians and fit-out trades fixing light items to plasterboard.
