• ✓Class 8.8, hot dipped galvanised. Fitted from one side, for fixing steel to square, rectangular and circular hollow sections, or where access is limited.
• ✓M8, M10 and M12 are a 3-part assembly; M16 is a 5-part assembly with a separate collar and a rubber washer.
• ✓Working loads, tension and shear: M8 6kN and 7kN, M10 10kN and 12kN, M12 13kN and 15kN, M16 23kN and 28kN.
• ✓Characteristic loads (for example M16: 89.1kN tension, 105.3kN shear) are for engineers calculating design resistance, not working loads. They apply to the HBS-Bolt assembly only; the connection may be weaker because of the other parts in it.
• ✓Hole in the steel: M8 14.00 to 15.00mm up to M16 26.00 to 28.00mm. Tightening torque: M8 25Nm, M10 45Nm, M12 80Nm, M16 190Nm.
• ✓Installing: hold the hex collar with an open ended spanner and tighten with a torque wrench and internal hex drive bit (5mm for M8, 6mm M10, 8mm M12, 10mm M16).
• ✓Three lengths per size with set grip ranges, for example M10 x 50 grips 3 to 22mm and M10 x 90 grips 41 to 60mm. Part numbers KBB88GKM080050 to KBB88GKM160120.
