XCHEM PRO V401 Vinylester Chemical Anchor, 300 and 420ml: Performance Data
A nine-page product data sheet for the XCHEM PRO V401 vinylester chemical anchoring system in 300ml and 420ml cartridges (MCCV401300, MCCV401420). It covers installation parameters, resin volumes, working and curing times, design and working loads in concrete, and performance in aerated concrete and masonry.
What this covers
- Installation parameters
- Edge distance and spacing
- Resin volume calculator
- Working and curing times
- Design and working loads
- Aerated concrete and masonry
Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Two-part vinylester injection resin for anchoring threaded studs and rebar. Listed for cracked and non-cracked concrete, solid and hollow masonry, aerated concrete and natural stone (natural stone is not in the ETA). Styrene-free, usable in wet or flooded holes, with colour change technology.
- Complies with AS 5216 and the NCC. ETA numbers on the sheet: 24/0507 (Option 1 and Option 7), 24/0506 (rebar), 24/0504 (masonry).
- Sizes M8 to M24: hole diameter 10mm (M8) to 28mm (M24), effective embedment 60 to 96mm (M8) up to 100 to 288mm (M24), maximum torque 10 N-m (M8) to 90 N-m (M24). Minimum edge distance 35 to 65mm, minimum spacing 40 to 115mm.
- Gel and cure times depend on base material temperature: at 20 to 29°C, 5 minutes working time and 30 minutes cure in dry concrete (60 minutes wet); at 0 to 9°C, 20 minutes and 90 minutes (180 wet). Resin must be at least 20°C.
- Working load example, M12 at 110mm embedment, hammer-drilled dry or wet hole, any of the four steel grades tabled (5.8, 8.8, A4-70, A4-80), single anchor in C20/25 concrete, no edge or spacing effects, 24°C average and 40°C maximum short-term temperature: tension 1,330kg non-cracked, 390kg cracked. Working loads are design resistance divided by 1.4. Hollow or vacuum-drilled holes have their own tables.
- One 300ml tube fills about 25 standard M12 holes (110mm deep, two thirds filled); a 420ml tube about 35.
- Shelf life 18 months stored at 5 to 25°C, upright and out of direct sunlight.
Who it helps: Builders and engineers setting studs or rebar into concrete or masonry who need hole sizes, cure times and loads.
