XChem Pro P201 Polyester Chemical Anchor 300ml and 420ml: Performance Data
A six-page performance data sheet for the XChem Pro P201 polyester chemical anchor (MCCP201300 and MCCP201420, 300ml and 420ml cartridges), a two-part injection resin for anchoring threaded studs into concrete, masonry and hollow material. It covers installation parameters, a resin volume calculator, working and curing times, and design and working loads.
What this covers
- Applications and features
- Installation parameters
- Edge distance and spacing
- Chemical volume calculator
- Working and curing times
- Design and working loads
- Solid masonry performance
Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- A styrene-free polyester resin for medium loads in non-critical applications, in non-cracked concrete, solid and hollow masonry and natural stone. The document states it complies with AS 5216 and the NCC; natural stone is not included in the ETA.
- Can be used in wet or flooded holes. Colour change technology shows when the resin has cured; use with nozzle MCXND3.
- Installation for M8, M10, M12 and M16: hole diameter 10, 12, 14 and 18mm; maximum tightening torque 8, 10, 15 and 25Nm.
- Gel working time is 5 minutes at 20 to 29°C and 40 minutes at -5 to 0°C; curing in dry concrete takes 30 minutes at 20 to 29°C and 180 minutes at -5 to 0°C, and twice as long in wet concrete. The resin itself must be at least 20°C.
- Example working load: an M12 stud at 110mm embedment in non-cracked C20/25 concrete, single anchor, no edge or spacing effects, up to 24°C average and 40°C short-term: 500kg tension in a dry or wet hammer-drilled hole, 340kg in a flooded hole. Working loads are the design resistance divided by 1.4.
- A 300ml tube fills about 68 standard M8 holes, 42 M10, 25 M12 or 13 M16 holes (based on two thirds of the standard hole depth filled and 5% waste).
Who it helps: Builders and engineers anchoring threaded studs into concrete or masonry with a polyester resin.
