H501 XCHEM PRO Hybrid 300ml and 420ml Chemical Anchor: Performance Data

Hobson's eight-page performance data sheet for H501 XCHEM PRO, a hybrid injection anchor derived from vinylester resin, in 300ml and 420ml cartridges (MCCH501300, MCCH501420). It covers installation parameters, a chemical volume calculator, working and curing times, design resistances and working loads in concrete, and values in aerated concrete and masonry.

What this covers

  • Applications and features
  • Installation parameters
  • Working and curing times
  • Design resistance
  • Working loads
  • Aerated concrete and masonry

For Chemical Anchors (Chemset-Style).

Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • Two-part hybrid for threaded studs in cracked and non-cracked concrete, plus solid and hollow masonry, aerated concrete and calcium silicate. Complies with AS 5216 and the NCC.
  • Covered by ETA 24/0513 (Options 1 and 7), ETA 24/0510 (rebar) and ETA 24/0512 (masonry), with seismic C1 and C2 values. Natural stone is not included in the ETA.
  • Styrene-free, for indoor and enclosed spaces; can be used in wet or flooded holes. Use with nozzle MCXND3.
  • Fast setting: at 20 to 29°C base material, 6 minutes gel time and 45 minutes cure in dry concrete (90 minutes wet). The resin must be at least 20°C.
  • Rod sizes M8 to M30: hole 10 to 35mm, maximum tightening torque 10 to 200Nm. Example: M12 needs a 14mm hole and 40Nm maximum.
  • Working load example: an M12 class 5.8 rod set 110mm deep holds 1,200kg in tension in non-cracked C20/25 concrete, or 550kg in cracked concrete (single anchor, no edge or spacing effects, 24°C average and 40°C maximum temperature, design resistance divided by 1.4).
  • A 420ml tube fills about 41 standard M12 holes. Shelf life 18 months stored at 5 to 25°C.

Who it helps: Builders and engineers anchoring into concrete or masonry who need early loading and a styrene-free resin.
