E701 XCHEM PRO Epoxy 585ml Chemical Anchor: Performance Data
Hobson's nine-page performance data sheet for E701 XCHEM PRO, a pure epoxy injection anchor in a 585ml cartridge (MCCE701585). It covers installation parameters, a chemical volume calculator, working and curing times, design resistances, seismic values and working loads for threaded rod in concrete.

Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Two-part pure epoxy, mixed 3:1, for anchoring threaded rod and rebar into cracked and non-cracked concrete. Complies with AS 5216 and the NCC.
- Covered by ETA 24/0514 (Options 1 and 7) and ETA 24/0515 (rebar), with seismic C1 and C2 values. Natural stone is not included in the ETA.
- Suits wet or flooded holes and diamond-drilled holes. Use with nozzle MCXND1.
- Rod sizes M8 to M30: hole 10 to 35mm, maximum tightening torque 10 to 300Nm. Example: M12 needs a 14mm hole and 40Nm maximum.
- At 20 to 24°C base material: 25 minutes gel time, 18 hours cure in dry concrete and 36 hours in wet concrete. The resin must be at least 20°C.
- Working load example: an M12 class 5.8 rod set 110mm deep in a hammer-drilled hole holds 2,030kg in tension in non-cracked C20/25 concrete, or 1,440kg in cracked concrete (single anchor, no edge or spacing effects, 24°C average and 40°C maximum temperature, design resistance divided by 1.4).
- One 585ml tube fills about 49 standard M12 holes, or 3 standard M30 holes. Shelf life 24 months stored at 5 to 25°C.
Who it helps: Engineers and builders setting threaded rod or rebar into concrete where loads and temperatures are critical.
