Evolution Timber Cavity Unit Installation Instructions
The official Hume Doors installation instructions for the Evolution Timber cavity sliding unit. The pack comes in two parts: Part 1 covers preparing the frame and installing the cavity into the opening, and Part 2 (kept sealed until the door goes in) covers preparing and hanging the sliding door. Key things to remember

- The pack is split in two: open only Part 1 (frame) first, and keep Part 2 sealed until you are ready to install the door.
- Opening height is the door height plus the state allowance, and width is 2 × door + 10mm for a flush pull or 2 × door + 60mm for a flush jamb. The unit size is tight, so allow extra for packing.
- In SA the pack includes the closing jamb.
- Leave the temporary spacer block between the split jambs in place during cladding and tiling, it stops the jambs distorting, and only comes out when the door is installed.
- Plumb the split jambs before fixing through the back post, and level the head/track before fixing it to the house frame.
