Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • A blend of cement, sand, selected aggregates and additives, made to harden quickly without mixing.
  • Hardens in 15 minutes when used as directed, within the desired temperature range. Extreme temperatures change the set time.
  • Designed for fence and pergola posts, and ideal for securing clothes lines and letter boxes. The sheet rules out structural applications.
  • Coverage per post hole: approximately 2 × 20kg bags.
  • Wet the hole first. Sandy or fast draining soil may need a plastic lining so the water does not seep into the ground.
  • Brace the post in the hole, pour in the amount of water the bag gives, then pour the bag in evenly around the post straight away.
  • Supports can come off after 1 hour, depending on the air temperature. Test that the post is stable before you remove them.

Who it helps: Anyone setting fence or pergola posts, clothes lines or letter boxes, and staff answering how many bags a post needs.
