- For connecting heavy duty treated timber to timber, for example outdoor pergolas, retaining walls, fencing and gates.
- 18 gauge, 5 TPI, 19mm washer head, T40 Torx drive. Six lengths: 75mm (38mm thread), 100mm (60mm thread), and 125, 150, 200 and 250mm (70mm thread). Part numbers T9PWTGO1805075 to T9PWTGO1805250.
- C1022 hardened steel with a Tykote coating, formulated to resist treated pine chemicals.
- Pullout working load (factor of safety 2.5 for timber included): 1,940N with 29mm of thread embedded, 7,050N with 56mm embedded. These are laboratory values and the sheet does not name the timber used.
- Characteristic tensile strength 23,600N and characteristic shear strength 12,900N (95% of screws expected to exceed these). These are not working loads.
- Drive with a cordless screwdriver set at a maximum of 2,200 to 3,000 RPM using a T40 bit, with firm, steady pressure. Do not over-tighten. Impact drivers are not recommended.
