Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Four lengths: 40, 50, 65 and 75mm (T04WSSQ1012040 to T04WSSQ1012075). 10 gauge, 12 TPI, 9.1mm head, Square #2 drive. 304 stainless steel.
- The self-embedding head has ribs that give a flush finish; the ribs under the head let particles clear. The square drive gives a better fit for smoother, safer driving.
- Working pullout load in 20mm thick timber: 800N in F7 pine and 850N in F27 hardwood. Working loads include a factor of safety of 2.5 for timber; mean and characteristic values are also listed, all from laboratory tests.
- Characteristic shear strength 4,150N and characteristic tensile strength 6,900N (mean 4,550N and 7,600N); torsional strength 5.4Nm.
- Install with a cordless screwdriver at 2,200 to 3,000RPM and a Square #2 bit, with firm pressure. Do not over-tighten; impact drivers are not recommended.
