Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Three lengths: 25, 35 and 45mm (T9PW3WP1012025 to T9PW3WP1012045). 10 gauge, 12 TPI, 9mm low profile wafer head, Phillips #2 drive, packs of 1,000.
- C1022 hardened steel, Class 3 finish. For general fixing of timber and thin steel and side cladding, for example pergolas, fences, gates and light fittings.
- Working pullout load at 35mm embedment: 1,500N in F7 pine and 2,750N in F27 hardwood. Working loads include a factor of safety of 2.5 for timber; mean and characteristic values are also listed, all from laboratory tests.
- Characteristic shear strength 5,600N and characteristic tensile strength 9,350N (mean 6,450N and 10,750N); torsional strength 5.4Nm.
- Install with a cordless screwdriver at no more than 1,500RPM and a Phillips #2 bit. Do not over-tighten; impact drivers are not recommended.
