Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Lengths 12mm, 16mm, 20mm, 25mm, 32mm and 40mm, all 8 gauge 15 TPI with a 10.5mm wafer head and Phillips #2 drive, packs of 1,000.
- C1022 hardened steel with a class 3 finish.
- Working pull-out load in 0.55mm G550 steel: 200N (mean 650N). Lab results with a safety factor of 2.5 for steel already included.
- Drill point test: it drilled 0.55mm G550 at 2,200rpm under a 13kg load in no more than 1.5 seconds (1.0 second average).
- Install with a cordless screwdriver at no more than 2,500rpm, with firm steady pressure, and do not over-tighten. Impact drivers are not recommended. Recommended Phillips #2 bits: TXDIPPHS20050, TXDIPPHS20075, TXDIPPHS20100 and TXDIPPHS20150.
Who it helps: Sheet metal workers and cladders fixing thin steel where a low head is wanted.
