Hobson's two-page performance data for the DRiLLX metal SDS flanged hex head screw with XGRiP, 12 gauge, 14 TPI, class 4 (part T9PM4XH1214). - Lengths 37mm (Q295), 43mm (Q296) and 53mm (QA40), 12 gauge 14 TPI, 5/16 inch hex.
- C1022 hardened steel with a class 4 finish.
- Working pull-out loads in steel (safety factor 2.5 for steel included): 550N in 1.1mm G2, 1,850N in 2.0mm G450, 2,500N in 2.5mm G450 and 3,850N in 3.8mm G450. Lab results.
- Drill point test: it drilled 2.0mm G450 at 2,200rpm under an 18kg load in no more than 5.5 seconds (4 seconds average). Torsional strength 10.9Nm.
- Install with a cordless screwdriver at 2,200 to 3,000rpm, with firm steady pressure, and do not over-tighten. Impact drivers are not recommended.
