Hobson declaration of performance
Mungo MEA Drop-In Anchor for Non-Cracked Concrete: Declaration of Performance 2323-CPR-0057
Mungo's Declaration of Performance 2323-CPR-0057 (Olten, 11 November 2020) for the MEA deformation-controlled expansion anchor for use in non-cracked concrete. It declares performance under ETA-18/0236 and attaches that assessment's annexes: dimensions, materials, installation parameters, characteristic resistances and fire data.
What this covers
- Declared performance
- Intended use
- Anchor dimensions and materials
- Installation parameters
- Characteristic resistances
- Fire resistance
Applies to Drop-In Anchor and Drop-In Anchor Setting Tool.
Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- For static or quasi-static loads in non-cracked concrete only, C20/25 to C50/60, reinforced or unreinforced. Sizes M6, M8, M10, M12 and M16; the tables also list M8 x 40 and M10 x 30.
- Dry internal conditions and normal internal temperatures only. The sleeve and plug are galvanised cold-formed steel.
- Drill hole diameter and minimum depth: M6 8mm x 25mm, M8 10mm x 30mm, M10 12mm x 40mm, M12 16mm x 50mm, M16 20mm x 65mm. Installation torque: M6 4Nm, M8 8Nm, M10 15Nm, M12 35Nm, M16 60Nm.
- The anchor is set by driving the wedge; it is properly set when the wedge is fully dropped in. Minimum member thickness runs from 100mm (M6, M8) to 160mm (M16), with a minimum edge distance and spacing for each size and no minus tolerance.
- Characteristic pull-out resistance in non-cracked C20/25 concrete (design method A): M6 5.0kN, M10 7.0kN, M16 12.0kN. These are for engineers, before partial safety factors, not working loads; anchorages are designed by an experienced engineer to EN 1992-4.
- Fire tables give characteristic values for R30 to R120 exposure in concrete C20/25 to C50/60.
- Assessment and verification of constancy of performance: System 1, notified body 2323 (IEA), under EAD 330232-00-0601.
Who it helps: Engineers, certifiers and builders who need the declared performance paperwork for drop-in anchors in non-cracked concrete.
